Everett Music Initiative wins the 2017 Organization Making an Impact Award
Everett Music Initiative is honored to receive the 2017 Organization Making an Impact Award as a part of the 24th annual Wendt and Mayor's Arts Awards at Everett Performing Arts Center on February 9th at 7pm.
Congratulations to Si Newland for receiving the Richard Wendt Award for his extraordinary commitment to Everett’s arts community. Newland served on the City’s Cultural Arts Commission in the formative years, and then went on to serve for 12 years on the board of the Arts Council of Snohomish County as it transitioned into one of Everett’s leading anchor arts organizations, now known as The Schack Art Center.
In recognition of Everett’s growing arts scene, the Cultural Arts Commission created the Mayor’s Arts Awards to honor art educators, artists in the community, arts organizations and emerging artists that have made an impact on the Everett arts community.
